Debra has always been and continues to be a pioneer and an innovator...
She was the first ever to create mega-event conferences for loan officers. For 9 years she held a conference called Mortgage Stars where she provided tools for top producers to quantum leap their businesses with many of them becoming millionaires in the process. The final conferences were sold out crowds in Aspen and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. She stopped them in 1995 to free her time to pursue other business endeavors, primarily writing her books and launching another business in an unrelated field.
Debra was the first to launch a national publication exclusively dedicated to loan officers, called The Mortgage Generator. As the original author/publisher for the better part of a decade, she had a readership numbering in the tens of thousands. She was the first to do "Star Gazer" interviews in which top-producing originators shared their methods. These days lots of publications have followed her lead but she is the one who blazed the trail. She sold the publication in the mid 90's.
Today Debra continues as a pioneer, helping to establish the mortgage market South of the border. She serves as the Marketing Director for the company she and her husband founded, Mortgages In Mexico. They are the #1 originating mortgage company in Puerto Vallarta where they are headquartered and rank in the top 1 or 2 spot nationally. She recently read a quote that says, "If you're lucky enough to live on water, you're lucky enough!" Needless to say, she believes that and is grateful for the opportunity to live in such beautiful surroundings. Debra is an advocate of balanced living and she walks her talk.
